When I entered Anna’s workshop, a calming smell of humid wood surrounded me. She sat down and started weaving among the bundles of willow and baskets she previously made.
Anna told me that she got introduced to weaving when she was staying at a housing coop. There, she was growing willow for a basket maker.
After the birth of her son, she decided to start weaving. She now works full time at her workshop and runs basketry courses.

Lorsque je suis entrée dans l’atelier d’Anna, l’ odeur apaisante du bois humide amplissait la pièce.
Elle s’installa et commença à travailler parmi les bottes de saule et les paniers.
Anna me raconta comment elle fut séduite par la vannerie lorsqu’elle vivait dans une coopérative. Là-bas, elle cultivait le saule pour un pannasseur.
Après la naissance de son fils, elle décida de tresser des paniers.
Aujourd’hui, Anna travaille dans son atelier à temps plein et donne aussi des cours de vannerie.
