On the very first day of my Easter holiday in France, I met Seb near Voiron. We went together to meet Calypso who needed his new horseshoes. Calypso stays in a beautiful estate. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the owner of the stables and Seb went to get Calypso who was in the fields.

Seb is from Villard and became a farrier 10 years ago after a two-year apprenticeship in Nevers. His work is very physical: Horses are big animals and he needs to hold on their legs for a long period of time and bends his back while working on the new horseshoe. Still, he feels lucky to be working in the open air with horses and always has a smile.
